			<description>Hi Tony,
I read your blog with special interest. I enjoyed it a lot! Your background is much different than mine. I grew up in northern Illinois which isn't a bluegrass music hot spot. My grandfather ran a one-man machine shop and loved steam powered machines of every type. He played a 5-string banjo for relaxation, and I loved the sound. As a young man (about 1902) he sold Cloverine brand salve and chose a George Washburn (Lyon &amp; Healy) banjo as his sales gift. It's a plain but very well made instrument My mother gave it to me many years ago. I have other banjos but only one treasured keepsake.

I wish you good health and since you are my first Banjo Mafia friend I hope that we can stay in touch as we go bravely forward into this new year.
